  • Breakfast buffet

    A delicious breakfast buffet with service from 7:30 to 10 am — and excellent coffee. Please start breakfast by 9:30 am. On Saturdays, breakfast is served from 7:30 to 9 am.

  • Dinner

    A modern take on Austrian cuisine from the Pinzgau region, using local produce by Margreth Herzog: at the Stüberl, we serve a set menu with a choice of two main courses from 5:45 to 8 pm. Please start dinner by 7:30 pm.

    Please note: The restaurant is closed one evening per week, and dinner is not included on that day. You will find a wide choice of restaurants in the centre of Hinterglemm, around five minutes’ walk away.

  • Gluten-free meals (coeliac disease)

    As coeliac disease affects our family, we are very familiar with gluten-free food. We offer gluten-free breakfast and dinner, adapting the daily main courses to your needs. Please let us know when booking. Please note: we prepare gluten-free meals for guests with coeliac disease, rather than as a lifestyle preference..

  • Barbecue evening

    Our barbecue evening is a particular summer highlight.

  • Regional produce

    We source most of our ingredients locally: milk and dairy products from Pinzgau Milch in Maishofen, organic eggs from Hansenbauer in Saalfelden, and excellent Pinzgau beef and veal from Feiersinger’s butcher’s shop in Hinterglemm, from cattle that spend summer on the alpine pastures. Our pork comes from selected farmers in Upper Austria.

  • Cosy outdoor dining area

    In summer and late winter, from around mid-March, Talheimer’s outdoor dining area at 1,040 metres above sea level is open, with lovely views of the Westgipfel (2,098 metres). It is arranged over two levels between the main house and annexe.

  • Head chef

    Our local head chef and kitchen manager, Margreth Herzog from Saalfelden, treats you to popular Austrian, international and regional dishes.

  • Last drinks served at 9 pm

    In winter, the Stüberl is open from 4 to 9:30 pm. Closed one day per week.

    Summer opening hours: 5:30 to 9:30 pm

    You are welcome to stay in the Stüberl after 9:30 pm, but drinks service will have finished.

  • Christmas & New Year’s Eve

    On 24 December and New Year’s Eve, we close the Stüberl at 9:30 pm. Our team and family also celebrate these occasions with their loved ones.

  • Smoke-free

    The Stüberl is smoke-free. For guests who smoke, we have created a small heated smoking area outdoors.

  • Free Wi-Fi

    Free Wi-Fi is available in the Stüberl and outdoor dining area.
